At the commencement ceremony at Wenzhou University of Technology on Tuesday, a signing ceremony was held for a provincial chamber of commerce employment support initiative.
The initiative, advocated by 12 provincial-level chambers of commerce based in the city, targets students from outside Wenzhou and provides dedicated employment fast tracks.
It reflects part of the university's three-pronged talent attraction and retention strategy for supporting graduate employment, which also features assistances from government and alumni.
For government support, senior local officials plan to lead delegations to the university to explain talent policies and promote job opportunities, while providing end-to-end support covering household registration, housing, and start-up subsidies.
Meanwhile, the university has brought together more than 100 distinguished alumni to return to campus and build a platform connecting alumni, employers, and students to support graduate employment.
In advancing industry-education integration, the university has partnered with more than 1,000 enterprises and public institutions over the past three years, providing more than 60,000 job opportunities for students.
The university has innovated on its talent training model, providing students with a solid theoretical foundation in the first three years, followed by a fourth year in which they participate in real-world R&D projects at partner enterprises.
It has also co-established more than 20 training bases with industry partners, ensuring seamless integration between teaching and industry practice.
Wenzhou University of Technology's undergraduate retention rate in Wenzhou has ranked first among local universities in the city for five consecutive years, with the figure reaching 38.02% in 2025.
